Know more about the Field Days

One of the region's premier events

The Murrumbateman Field Days is one of the region’s premier events and the flagship annual event for the Yass Valley, about 30 minutes from Canberra.

An outstanding family day, the Field Days are held on the third weekend in October with over 400 exhibitors and with many volunteers. The event has raised nearly $1million for the Murrumbateman community over the past five years.

Each year, more than 20,000 visitors from the local area as well as Canberra, the Southern Highlands, Sydney and even further afield, descend on a 40 acre site at Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds across the two days.

The power of the community is behind this event. Murrumbateman Field Days is one of the events operating under the Murrumbateman Progress Association (MPA). The MPA is a voluntary, not for profit, community-based association operating in the Murrumbateman area in New South Wales.

The MPA acts as an umbrella organisation to assist community members to conduct their activities with appropriate legal cover and other support.
